Today was the first time I’ve ever received a useful piece of spam email.
To be honest, it wasn’t useful in the way the original sender intended. Some idiot snake-oil peddler wrote to tell me that my web site ‘may not be optimised for the search engines’, and offered to send me a report for a fee. The site they referred to was actually that of artist Louise Moore, who used my free CityDesk template to create her site. It was my included copyright notice that gave the spammers my email address.
I’d never have seen Louise’s site if they hadn’t sent me that email. Check it out – she’s a talented woman!
